Mercy For Animals 3 Min. Video Causing Shock and Awe Across the Internet
(EnviroNews World News) — A video published recently by the non-profit animal rights advocacy group Mercy for Animals is blowing people’s minds across the internet — including apparently, that of Hollywood megastar and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio.
Though published in December of 2015, the video got a huge boost from DiCaprio when he Tweeted it on March 16, quoting Mercy for Animals’ blurb as well which stated, “This is the video future generations will be wishing everyone watched today.”

The old-school film Baraka comes to mind when watching the short piece, as it starts off peacefully featuring pristine nature shots from around the world, but quickly shifts gears into a roller-coaster ride of planetary destruction accompanied by bafflingly scary statistics of humanity’s own transpiring demise.
Those statistics center around the destruction wreaked by the commercial agricultural industry — and more specifically, the meat industry. “The choice is yours,” “as we eat our way to extinction,” were a couple of the delivered punch lines after taking viewers through a bit of madness and mayhem.
But the video ends on a positive note and seeks to encourage the viewer with a “there is still time,” message. Watch the short non-narrated film for yourself and see what you think!
